Kate has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD.
Kate helps patients build a framework for lasting progress—balancing medication support with therapy, building everyday habits that nurture stability and growth.
She earned her Master’s degree as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Virginia.
Before founding Bright Sky Psychiatry, Kate served as Director of Psychiatric Services at Resilience Counseling and Social Skills Center. Her background includes work in hospitals, group homes, and outpatient clinics, giving her a broad and adaptable foundation for supporting a wide range of needs and life experiences.
Kate is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice independently in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Outside of her work, Kate finds joy in traveling, photography, and time spent with family and friends—simple experiences that remind her of the beauty in connection, and perspective.
